NYC Market Week | Day Two
On our second day, with a planned full day ahead of us we had to get our caffeine fix before we headed off. Good thing that the Saturday Surf NYC store is down the street from us.
I think I figured out the formula for Saturday Surf’s success - one part great brand and one part good ass coffee!
First stop - Engineered Garments
The collection evoked a 70’s vibe mixed with the EG touch that makes it so damn good.
Our rep, Angelo Urrutia, always hard at work.
Next stop, Lunch at Katz Deli. A NY landmark that we’ve heard great things about it but haven’t had the chance to determine for ourselves yet. We had to fight heavy rain and high heat to get to this place so we had hopes that Katz’s would live up to the hype.
And it did. The pictures do not do it justice, so I will.
Best pastrami sandwich ever, hands down.
With our bellies full, we walked happily over to the Saturday Surf NYC showroom.
This space was impressive and the views of the city were even more amazing.
This was definitely a space that I wouldn’t mind working at everyday.
This season’s collection was really strong and their graphic tees were among one of our favorites.
Now, over to one of our newest accounts, MUTHA F’ING Atelier de Production et de Création aka..
Justin Keller is a friend of the store and our former rep from other brands. Now he’s at A.P.C. bringing his own brand of awesomeness.
The collection is dope as always and we will be having their famous selvedge denim this fall with the rest of the collection coming soon in the near future.
We next stopped over to M5 to visit Briefing and Save Khaki.
The blue colorway from Briefing is the truth.
Last appointment of the day ended at Repetto.
After a long day, we treated ourselves to one of Mr. David Chang’s restaurant.
